AD2 PROJECTS
Architectural Design 2 was a 15 week module that had 3 different assignments.
Assignment 1 (Group)
First project was a short project with only 1 week to finish it. I learned a great deal about Design Intentions along with people I knew but never worked with before. I had a lot of difficulties with this project since I was overseas because of visa issues so I had to keep strict communication with my group members and do what can be done. Thankfully most of my group was understanding!
Assignment 2 (Group)
Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality
Second project had me learning about new aspects of architecture. This was a bit of a challenge since I was overseas because of visa issues so I had to keep strict communication with my other 2 group members and do what can be done. I remember arriving to Malaysia on the day of the presentation and then I went to Taylors at 2 AM straight away from the airport to start drawing because there was so much left to be done! But in the end we managed to get all the work handed in time.
Assignment 3
Designing with Architectural principles + Materiality + Context + User
When it came time to develop a good model, I had to do more than just research on how I can improve a previous site, which is one of my favourite pastimes. I also had to challenge myself working on something so creative! Thinking of the site, context, visibility and permissibility + interviewing the user was like solving a puzzle which was so fun. sometimes I solved a problem but then another problem came up. Creating something after such a long time (2 months) with Ms. Fadzwin helping me in every possible way was a real blast.
