AD3 PROJECTS
Architectural Design 3 was a 15 week module that had 3 different assignments.
Assignment 1 (Group)
First project taught me about poetic architecture. I learned a great deal about spatial design along with people I knew but never worked with before. More than just a group project, our exploration of poetic architecture left an indelible mark on each of us, nurturing a profound appreciation for the fusion of artistic expression and construction. The experience expanded our horizons and instilled in us a renewed passion for pushing the boundaries of architectural design to touch the souls of those who inhabit and admire our creations.
Assignment 2a (Group)
The Discovery Center (Genius Loci) - Site Analysis, Site Response and Design Concept
Second project had me learning about new aspects of architecture. This was a bit of a challenge since I was overseas because of visa issues so I had to keep strict communication with my other 2 group members and do what can be done. I remember arriving to Malaysia on the day of the presentation and then I went to Taylors at 2 AM straight away from the airport to start drawing because there was so much left to be done! But in the end we managed to get all the work handed in time.

The Discovery Center (Genius Loci) - Site Analysis, Site Response and Design Concept
When it came time to develop a good design, I had to do more than just research on how I can improve a building on a previous site, which is one of my favourite pastimes. I also had to challenge myself working on something so creative! Thinking of the site, context, visibility and permissibility + finding a design that fits my danger concept was like solving a puzzle which was so fun. sometimes I solved a problem but then another problem came up. Creating something after such a long time (2 months) with Ms. Dee helping me in every possible way was a real blast.
